Hummingbird at Long Last

Over the weekend we had a male Rufous Hummingbird at our feeders, our first hummer of 2011, and of the season, for that matter.  Nice when you get one that is easy to identify.  He had just a few green flecks on his back for contrast.

Sunday morning we had yet another American Robin invasion.  For a while they appeared to be holding a convention on our lawn. This photo was taken in our front yard a few days earlier.

Still no Purple Finch...
